OK, I've pulled the battery and connected the charger. Computer has been sitting there for 5 minutes, no sign of life. I then pressed the battery indicator button on the left side and got the same 5 blinking lights. I then pulled out the RAM and tried again, plugged in and waited. Then pressed the power button. No sign of life at any point.

I recently bought a new macbook pro 13inch early 2015. It's 5 days old and I'm sensing there is an issue with my battery. After full charge, the battery showcases only 6 hours and 20 minutes left for usage, and this does fluctuate but never reaches the 9-10 hour mark. All I do is emails, facebook, evernote, and some spotify, netflix.
I tried, but Monterey and a third party NVME on an Early 2015 MacBook Pro causes battery drain in sleep mode. Also tried with installing first on original SSD to update the firmware and than installing on the Crucial P1 - nothing. Over night it looses more than 20% in eight hours. With the original one 0-1% only.
The company estimated "up to" 10-12 hours of battery life for the previous "Early 2015" 13-Inch MacBook Pro models (10 hours in wireless web and 12 hours in iTunes movie playback) and "up to" 9 hours of battery life in both wireless web and iTunes movie playback for the previous "Mid-2015" 15-Inch MacBook Pro models.
I'll give you the TL;DR version of what you could've found by searching: 9 hours is achievable if your usage ressembles Apple's testing method, which is explained in the fine print on Apple.com.
